session information

Sessions are relaxed and fun and no two are ever the same.  During our pre-session consultation we can discuss all of the fun details like location options, what to wear, and any creative ideas or other questions you may have.  

Newborn sessions will be in your home within the first 10 days of birth.  Relax and take a deep breath, I get it...you just had a baby...I do NOT expect your home to be tidy and in order.  This is real life and I wouldn't have it any other way.  I will photograph your newborn in their natural environment, I just look for pockets of good light and we are set.  And don't worry, I will take care to not photograph that pile of laundry on the floor, unless you are ok with that...because I'm certainly ok with that :)    That is real life and real life is beautiful.  Baby needs a break for a feeding?  No problem, I'm ready to go with the flow...feeding time makes for beautiful photographs too, by the way.   Mom, Dad and siblings (including the four legged kind) are always welcome to be a part of this session or we can make it all about baby...your choice.

For kid sessions, the kids are my guide.  I spend time getting to know them and playing with them and the photographs come from there.  You will find me rolling on the floor, reading books, playing with cars, joining a tea party, sliding down slides, running through waves...whatever makes it work.  Your kids favorite thing to do is jump in mud puddles?...count me in!

The great thing about teen and high school senior sessions is pretty much anything goes.  I love how creative teens can be and the ideas they come up with.  These sessions are FUN FUN FUN!  Not the creative type, don't worry we'll come up with something you will love.  

For family sessions I love to plan an activity of something your family would enjoy doing together; going out for ice cream, collecting shells at the beach, exploring a park or town center, having a picnic, the sky is really the limit.  I'm pretty adventurous, if you want to go hiking in the woods or for a cruise on your boat to capture those little sailors those sessions make me a happy photographer!   Let's chat and get creative.   

For couples and engagement sessions it is great to use a location (or two) that is meaningful to both of you.  Tell me your story and we can collaborate on a beautiful session.  

I also photograph parties, first communion, baptisms, elopements, small weddings, and let's not forget your furry family members, they deserve a portrait too. 

After the Session  

Your final collection will be available in a private on-line gallery about 2 weeks after your session.  Needs them faster?  Just let me know and I will do my best to meet your needs.

 I am also happy to have an in-home presentation to help you with your image selection, print and product order, and placement in your home.     

Seeing is not enough; you have to feel what you photograph.
